SSS Parades 5 Boko Haram Suspects Including A University Lecturer

The State Security Service (SSS) today in Abuja paraded five suspected Boko Haram members alleged to have planned deadly attacks on Igala, Kogi State.

Among the suspects were Dr. Mohammad Nazeef Yunus, an Assistant Lecturer in Arabic and Islamic Studies at Kogi State University. He was said to be the Spiritual Leader and Coordinator for Boko Haram in the State, and the leader of the gang.

ASUU Strike Update: "ASUU NEC Meeting Not Postponed Indefinitely" - Chairman

The Chairman of Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, Dr Lawan Abubakar has described the media reports that the union had postponed its National Executive Committee meeting indefinitely as false and speculative. The footballer after inspecting the property was satisfied with it and gave his friend a cheque of N100m to purchase it. It was said that, his friend disappeared into thin air after he cleared the money and till today Mikel is yet to hear from him or see him.
A source who confirmed the story said, Mikel still finds it difficult to believe, they were very close the source said. 47 years old Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Mr. Haruna Tsokwa, is dead.

He passed on early hours today at the Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo after he suddenly took ill on Sunday and was rushed to the hospital.

The speaker, a known loyalist of Taraba acting Governor, Umar Garba, is engaged in a legal tussle with the ailing Governor Danbaba Suntai, over his refusal to accept a letter transmitted by the governor signifying his intention to resume duties after a 10-month absence on medical treatment abroad.

n the early hours of Saturday, November 02, 2013, there was a stampede moments after prayers at the Holy Ghost Adoration Centre, Uke, in Idemili South LGA of Anambra State.
The stampede, which occurred while people were going home, resulted in the loss of some lives.
Some are still injured and receiving treatments in some hospitals.
Vigil was usually held at the centre on every first Friday of the month. The crowd at the centre was unprecedented on this first Friday of November 2013 probably because it was the Solemnity of All Saints and a holy day of obligation for Catholic faithful.
